Starr FM out with Campus APP

By Forgive Adjoa Forfoe
Ghana’s fastest growing radio station, Starr 103.5 FM, is coming out with a podcast on its website, www.starrfmonline.com on Friday, November 5.
The podcast dubbed Campus Confessions is being launched with an aim of focusing on Ghana’s youth as is dedicated solely to university students, alumni, and parents. The programme will be hosted by none other than Starr FM’s executive producer extraordinaire-turned-presenter, Kati G formally known as Kathy Sakyi.
The organisers of the podcast tell Showbiz that the main idea behind the podcast is to create a platform for students, who spend a lot of time online, to break their silence over vices they engaged in and how to battle them. The students express their feelings incognito, hoping their confessions can help or advice their fellow students and parents.
The podcast is also to be the voice of the youth, to inspire, and to direct young adults into making better decisions concerning their lives.
Sakyi, the executive producer and host of the podcast, told Graphic Showbiz “the weekly show which is also downloadable on portable devices will put the spotlight on the struggles of the youth and give them something to look forward to.”
“It also allows parents the opportunity to know what their children are going through on a daily basis on campus,” she added.
