THE maiden edition of the  National Students Awards came off last Saturday at the Zenith University College, La, Accra with University Hall, Katanga, of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology being a big winner on the night.
Katanga who made their presence ‘very felt’ at the event took home three awards-  Hall of Residence of the Year, Gyama Group of the Year and the Overall Best Hall of the Year.

Although the event started three hours late, every feeling of resentment left the auditorium when the event finally took off with an opening act by Gombilla Toufik, a student poet. He eloquently and dramatically performed a poem titled Social Media that got the patrons cheering loudly.
Others who shared the stage with him to entertain patrons included D.Cryme and other student musicians such as  Ephraim, Sky Legends and Talantu.
