William McDowell thrilled thousands that day |
Some patrons resorted to clapping loudly to register their displeasure and to draw the attention of the organisers. However, the anger and rancor and feelings of disappointment disappeared when MCs for the night, Jeremie of 4syte TV fame and Rev Fred McDavid of Citi FM introduced the MTN Viva Choir, whose performance of Jenkin’s Awesome and Bassey’s Imela got the crowd on their feet cheering.
Dressed in all gold that sparkled in the night, Ceccy Twum was next and set the tone for a thrilling event as she treated the now sober crowd to soul-inspiring local and foreign worship songs such as Hillsong’s My Heart Your Home and Rev. Yawson’s Agya Onyame.
